6 months in review
in 2 weeks it will be our 6 month wedding anniversary and mark having lived in Chicago for 6 months! It has been nothing as I expected, I thought I would find a job within a few weeks and be living a glamorous city life like on sex and the city...plus the husband!
not so...i have spent the last 6 months being a bum, doing crafts, and pining for friends and a job! it wasn't so bad when nick was working in the city, because he would come home and i would have someone to talk to besides the doorman and robert (the homeless man that hangs around the bridge that i give granola bars to) but then when he started traveling my life was pathetic!
the great times have been, KT G visiting in October, 2nd wedding reception in Pittsburgh in Oct., going to Hawaii for Thanksgiving, Pittsburgh for Christmas, having Mike, Brady and Leah here for 5 days, and general married life!
and the best part is there is HOPE for us starting to like Chicago, as of last week I have several leads for jobs and as of Sunday we have friends! They;re great, I hope i don;t scare them away with how excited I am to actually have friends here!
things are looking up! and February is fo sho the best month! the convo candy hearts, red gummi hearts, vanilla heart peeps, snow, and every store has major sales! its also going to be a big month for nicks wallet (which is now our wallet) because we have our 1 year engagement anniversary, 6 months of being married, valentines day and my BIIRTHDAY!! we will also be in Utah the 5-11th!
heres me giving chicago another chance!

finally you gots some friends. =] My says to get out there and make friends they don't come to you. Everyone says hi. Roadie really likes the dounuts he has one he didn't ripp apart yet.

Yipee! Finally you are joining the blogging world. We'll love keeping tabs on you and your life in the windy city. Good luck with the job hunt. I know it is hard but you will find something eventually.
